Distribution; Across CAN, WA, sparsely distributed across n. USA-e. USA
Information: Typically found in forested locations among the forest floor, around bogs.
Description: Mature adults; body, excluding appendages, dark red-brown, glossy. Limbs, antennae, and palpi, pale yellow, mandibles red-brown, head black, nearly smooth, facial furrows minimal--shallow, only present between eye crests. Pronotum convex/ovate, pronotal median line creates slight impression at the centre of the pronotal disc. Body: elongate-oblong, slender, elytra loosely tapering toward basal region. Tarsal claws pectinate.
Five pale setae should be found on each elytral shoulder, the third seta slightly longer than the other four (two on either side.) 8-9 distinct striae should be present on each elytron.
