Description: body; elongate-ovate, moderately robust. Body fully dorsally, and ventrally glossy black. Head triangular, slender; face slender, mandibles narrow, weakly curved. The surface of the head should be mostly smooth, but slightly uneven at the front; eyes close to the head, weakly bulging, with two setae over each eye. The clypeus should have one large pit just inside of either lateral margin; maxillary palpi dark, with a small pale section at the tips. Antennae glossy black, with pale antennal pubescence beginning on the second antennomere following the pedicel. The base of the head should be somewhat constricted. Pronotum circular; front angles obtuse, nearly squared; front margin rounded inward; lateral margins round; hind angles rounded-obtuse. Pronotal margins fully beaded, except around the basal margin of the lower median bulge. Median line shallow, but well-defined, many small wrinkled stretch out laterally from it. One large, roundish indentation should be found on either side of the lower median bulge. Elytra oblong; 8 striae per elytron, intervals flat, no additional elytral pubescence. Humeral shoulders round; lateral margins elongate-rounded, apices pointed, but rounded off.
