Description: body: elongate-ovate, slender. Dorsal colouration ranges from dark reddish brown, to black, ventral faces brownish to black, legs, mouth parts excluding the mandibles, palpi, and antennae uniformly yellow. Head triangular, eyes large, bulging somewhat, head reddish to black; smooth. Face short, mandibles triangular, close to face, short; tips pointed. Facial furrows small, appear more like small L-shaped pits. Palps yellow-orange, same colour as the antennae. Scapus, pedicel, and the first two antennomeres following the pedicel smooth, antennal pubescence begins on the third antennomere after the pedicel. Pronotum not overly large, but also not abnormally small; cordate, base narrow, width just before the margins curve towards the head nearly as wide as the elytra. Hind pronotal angles acute, weakly protruding laterally; lateral pronotal margins thin, upturned slightly; front angles somewhat acute. Median line deep, disk heavily micropunctate along margins, disk appears somewhat "inflated" on either lateral side of the median line, both elevated regions are smooth, not obviously raised, but these two elevated areas are a trait seen in most Nebria. Elytra oblong, semi-ovate, 8 deep to shallow striae per elytron, 3 or 4 unevenly spaced fovea should be touching the third striation on both elytra, while also touching the third intervals. Intervals should not be elevated in normal specimens. Elytral apices sinuous, tips rounded off, lateral margins thin, slightly upturned, rounded, humeral angles widely rounded.
