Distribution; California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia
Information: Often found in Pacific Madrone-conifer-maple-oak forests in wetter parts of Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. In California, they can generally be found in mixed oak and conifer forests, as well as old-growth oak meadows. Primarily nocturnal, but known to be active during daylight hours. Generally prefer damp/humid locations, where rainfall is consistant year to year.
Description:
Pronotum convex with margins protruding past the anterior edge. Pronotal margins slightly serrated. Elytra with 8 distinct tubercles, one 1/3 of the elytral length from the pronotum and the other 3 aranged in an obtuse triangular shape 2/3 of the way down.
Antennae: 11 segments - 2 segmented club
Tarsal formula: 4-4-4
