Description: body: elongate-ovate, slender. Head triangular, face short, dorsal surface of head smooth, head glossy dark to pale orange. Eyes large, bulging laterally. Maxillary palps yellow. Antennae yellow to orange, antennal pubescence begins on the first antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotal semi-quadrate, rounded; front margin transverse; front angles obtuse; lateral margins rounded, broadest just before the front of the disk, at which point the disk should be nearly as broad as the elytra; hind angles obtuse-rounded; basal margin transverse. Front and basal margins without beading, lateral margins thinly beaded. One long seta may be found on the lateral margins on either side of the pronotum, just behind the front angles. Dorsal face of the disk along the base should be micropunctate. Elytra may be glossy yellow or bicoloured. If bicoloured, then the 3 or 4 elytral intervals nearest the lateral margins should appear pale to dark yellow-orange, opaque, while the rest are glossy, dark brown. Laterobasal ridges entire, appear to droop slightly away from the pronotal hind angles. 8 deep striae per elytron, intervals flattish; no elytral pubescence. Humeral shoulders squarish, rounded; lateral margins nearly parallel, roundish-elongate; apices rointed. Ventral faces yellow to piceous, legs yellow.
