Description: body: elongate-ovate, moderately robust. Head triangular, face shortish, dorsal surface of head smooth, with two small, curved dimples on the frons, above the front of the eyes. Head glossy pale to dark orange. Eyes strongly bulging laterally. Two supraorbital setae over each eye. Maxillary palps fully yellow-orange. Antennomeres following the second after the pedicel should be cylindrical. First three to four antennal segments yellow, rest are yellow-brown. Antennal pubescence dark, beginning on the second half of the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum smooth, glossy, dark orange; a few small punctures might be found on the basal margin. Median line thin, but typically complete. Front margin transverse; front angles obtuse; lateral margins sinuous; hind angles squared, with the lateral margin just above them nearly parallel with each other; basal margin nearly transverse. Front margin not beaded, lateral and basal margins thinly beaded, basal margin bead very faint. Basal margin overlaps the elytral base, scutellum mostly obscured. The humeral shoulders should be slightly broader than the pronotal base. Elytra glossy dark (translucent) orange or pale (translucent) orange. First striation from the sutural margin should be deep, but incomplete, rest of striae may be either nearly or fully vanished. Lateral margins weakly beaded; humeral shoulders obtuse, laterobasal ridges typically obscured by the pronotal base; lateral margins rounded-elongate; apices pointed. Elytra smooth. Ventral faces dark, glossy orange, legs orange.
