Description: body: elongate-oblong, slender, rather flattened. Head large, triangular; most of the head glossy, dark reddish or orange, very heavily punctate with short, pale seta in each fovea. Mandibles short, mostly obscured by the labrum; strongly curved into a slender hook at tips, glossy orange in colour. Palpi yellow to orange, pale; coated in pale pubescence. Eyes angled forward somewhat, weakly bulging. Antennae pale orange to yellow; antennal pubescence begins on the scapus; scapus 3-4x the length of the later antennomeres. The "neck" behind the head, and at the front of the pronotum extremely constricted, allowing for a large gap between most of the basal region of the head and the front of the pronotum. Pronotum widest near the front, at which point it should only be as wide as the base of the head; front margin rounded weakly toward the base of the head; front angles obtuse; lateral margins strongly sinuate; base as wide as one elytral shoulder; hind angles squared; basal margin weakly sinuous. Median line deep, but hardly visible without a scope or some kind of magnifying lens on hand; minor depressions may be found on either side of the lower median bulge. Pronotal disk heavily punctate, with many short setae. Small scutellum exposed. 9-10 shallow costae on each pronotum, intervals weakly depressed; all elytral sculpturing faint; elytra very heavily micropuncate, fully pubescent. Humeral shoulders rounded-squarish; lateral margins straight; apices truncated. Elytral colouration typically has half of a 'T' shaped, orange marking, which covers the humeral shoulder and along the elytral suture, the rest of the elytron should be dark reddish-brown. Some individuals may have mostly pale elytra. Ventral colouration pale orange; fully pubescent; legs yellow-orange, pubescent.
