Description: body: PRESENTLY WE DO NOT HAVE THE SUBSPECIES FOUND ON THE WEST COAST; the specimen shown on this page is of another subspecies within this species, collected in South Dakota, though it should be very similar to those found in California.
In California, subspecies monachus and sonomae are present. sonomae can also be found in Oregon.
