Description: body: elongate-ovate, moderately robust, mostly blue. Head somewhat long, triangular; mandibles pointed, not curved except for the tiny hook at the tip of the mandibles; eyes large, but not bulging greatly; each eye should have two setae over it, and a small ridge spanning from over the front of the eye, ending at the base of the scapus. The surface of the head should be bright or dark blue along with the clypeus, while the labrum and mandibles are dark amber to black; the microwrinkles around the centre of the head, and the surfaces surrounding them should be heavily punctate. Antennae yellow, the first antennomere following the pedicel should be just over twice the length of the scapus; antennal pubescence begins on the second antennomere following the pedicel. Pronotum semi-quadrate; lateral margins sinuous, with very weak lateral beading; front angles obtuse; front margin weakly curved inward, not overly noticeable; hind angles obtuse; basal margin sinuous. The pronotal disk should be heavily riddled with large punctures; median line weak, incomplete; basal margin of the pronotum should overlap the basal region of the elytra, obscuring most of the scutellum and the elytral base. 7-8 shallow, pitted striae per elytron, intervals flat, elytral disks entirely coated by short, pale pubescence. Elytral colouration should be the same as, or very close to that of the rest of the carabid's body, light or dark semi-metallic, matte blue; excluding the limbs, antennae, and mouth parts. Humeral shoudlers rounded-obtuse, sloping apically; lateral margins rounded, elongate; apices rounded. Ventral colouration glossy dark blue, with fine pubescence; limbs orange or yellow.
