Information: can be found running around or resting upon/under stones and gravel, sandy substrates, along rivers and streams, concrete paths and roads, and on trees.
Description: body: elongate-oblong, slender. Head and pronotum matte or glossy black. 8 shallow striae per elytron. Elytra matte or glossy black with one yellow macule per elytron which begins just below the humeral shoulder, then curves towards the elytral apex, ending abruptly about halfway down the elytra. Elytral apices truncate. Pronotum semi-cordate, base constricted, curving outwards from top of the constricted region, then back towards the head; hind angles pointed outwards; acute or squared. Head smooth, slight wrinkles over the eyes, face somewhat short, eyes bulge. Occiput constricted into neck. Palps pale or dark brown. First three antennal segments yellow, rest are brown; pubescence begins on the second antennomere after the pedicel. Ventral: legs dark to pale yellow-brown, underside of body dark piceous. Body relatively flat.
