At the Child Abuse Prevention Team/Our House, our mission is to empower and support children and families in need by connecting them with vital resources and services. These include, but are not limited to, employment assistance, housing, access to nutritious food, and other forms of support that promote long-term stability and wellbeing. We are committed to creating a safe, home-like environment where families can build brighter futures.
Our House offers supervised visitation services and parenting classes to help parents and guardians build stronger, healthier relationships with their children. Supervised visits are monitored by trained support staff to provide a safe and supportive environment, while parenting classes encourage positive communication, family growth, and long-term stability.
Our House also provides essential items for children and families in need, including clothing, diapers, wipes, formula, car seats, and other necessities for children of all ages. Clothing vouchers are also available for individuals and families experiencing hardship. Please visit our “Services” tab for more information. 💙
CAPT/Our House's Annual Events:
Our agency hosts several community outreach programs throughout the year to support children and families in need. Each fall and winter, we organize our annual “Coats for Kids” drive, providing hundreds of coats to children and adults throughout the community. During the holiday season, our “Christmas for Kids” program allows sponsors to anonymously provide gifts and support to children and families during Christmas. In April, we host an annual Silent Walk to honor and remember victims of child abuse and neglect while raising community awareness. Additionally, during the fall season, our agency provides backpacks and school supplies to children preparing for the upcoming school year.
If you are interested in volunteering or completing an internship with our agency, please contact us for more information about available opportunities and ways to get involved.
