The Office of Sustainability is responsible for advancing the climate and sustainability goals of the City of Albany. Their work involves everything from transitioning to clean energy to outreach to planning for the electrification of the city’s fleet and more. Concerned with both city operations and the community as a whole, the Office of Sustainability works to ensure that the future of Albany is a sustainable one.

Established in 2013 by the City Council, the Sustainability Advisory Committee (SAC) is dedicated to advancing sustainability practices and uniting action on climate change within Albany.
