This website was originally created by Lois Gundrum (retired NYS Earth Science teacher and textbook editor) and Maura McNulty (retired English teacher at Albany Academy for Girls). Barbara Spink has rebuilt the website with a new URL (www.capitalclimateportal.org) and is now the Website Administrator. In the effort to list as many groups as possible, we do not necessarily endorse every group listed. We believe that the climate crisis is the ultimate issue of our time and wish to help anyone who wants to get involved.
We have done our best to include all of the Capital Region Climate Groups that are working on climate, as well as Sustainability Groups, and we have offered a few resources that we think are worth looking into. If you know of a group that we should include on this website, please contact Barbara Spink at bcs0424@gmail.com.
