This website was originally created by Maura McNulty (retired English teacher at Albany Academy for Girls) and Lois Gundrum (retired NYS Earth Science teacher and textbook editor). Barbara Spink has rebuilt the website with a new URL (www.capitalclimateportal.org) and is now the Website Administrator. In the effort to list as many groups as possible, we do not necessarily endorse every group listed. That is up to the user. We believe that the climate crisis is the ultimate issue of our time and wish to help clear the way to learning what's out there for anyone who is just getting involved.
We have done our best to include all of the Capital Region Climate Groups that are working on climate, as well as Sustainability Groups, and we have offered a few resources that we think are worth looking into.
