Color Course with Ian Roberts
Pre course paintiing: Center of intersest tis the orange skirt
Week !: For the first two weeks we will be focusing on color intensity. And our main focus will be on reducing intensity. Learning about subtle, nuanced color
Week 3:We normally think that hue is the most important element of color. But this week we will shift the hue, yet stay true to both the value and the intensity. You will see how much room there is for interpretive color.
Week 4: Finally color! And you know these two images. We have painted them in black and white and in the temperature exercises. But you'll find having that knowledge of them frees you to focus on color mixing. Because now we are using our knowledge of color temperature yet not using full color. Think of the range of nuanced color you have now at your finger tips. The different options and means you have now to create neutrals and rich juxtapositions of hue, and value, and intensity. And temperature.
