Canvas Studio has a quiz option if you would like students to test their knowledge during a video.
Create a quiz on a Studio video
Add the Studio video quiz as an assignment
Create a quiz!
Add in the title and description.
As you play the video, pause and add a question at any point. Your choices are multiple choice, true/false, or multiple answer questions.
Write the question, select the correct answer, and add in feedback students get for each response. Save the question and keep adding as many as you'd like.
Click "Done" when you have made the quiz.
Embed the quiz as an assignment.
Decide how many total points the quiz will be worth. Then choose "External Tool" for submission type.
The external tool you want is "Studio."
Choose the Studio video that has a the quiz already created on it.
Choose "Video Quiz Embed" and make sure the quiz name is correct. Then click "Embed." You have to select Studio one final time before the quiz is there for you.
You may also decide how many attempts students get for the quiz.
Your quiz is ready to go! Notice that I wrote some instructions above the embedded video quiz. Students can get their results right away, too!
Creating a quiz as an activity will be demonstrated during the webinar
