The Cane Bay Choirs took two ensembles to compete in the Palmetto State Choral Championships in Rock Hill, SC on Thursday April 27th.  Choirs compete in divisions based on the difficulty of music, or their voicing.  Level 6 is the highest (most difficult) music that you can perform for these festivals.   Vox Bellator competed in Grade 5 and Chorale competed in Grade 6.

Vox Bellator earned a Superior Rating in performance and Sight singing and scored 98/100 points in sight singing!  They scored an average of 92.5 from the 4 judges.  This earned them the Silver Award (2nd place) in the Treble Choir Division.

Cobra Chorale also earned a Superior Rating in performance and Sightreading and scored an average of 94.5 from the 4 judges.  This earned them the Gold Award and the Level 5/6 Mixed Choir Division State Championship!  This is our 3rd State Championship for this ensemble! 

We are so proud of the work of our students, and thankful for their former teachers in our vertical team for preparing to be successful at this level. We are proud to represent our school and community with this award!
