TAME VALLEY CANAL:
The Tame Valley Canal runs from Ocker Hill near Tipton from the Walsall Canal to Salford Junction underneath Spaghetti Junction where the canal meets with the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and Grand Union Canal in Birmingham. The Canal leaves the Walsall Canal at Tame Valley Junction, Ocker Hill where it takes a straight flat path to the South of Wednesbury making its way to Rushall Junction where it meets with the Rushall Canal. This Junction is next to where the M6 Motorway and M5 Motorway join. The Canal continues then through a valley with more straight flat sections to Perry Barr Locks and then on around Perry Barr and Witton to Salford Junction where the canal terminates at the Birmingham and Fazeley and Grand Union Canal.
WALKING THE TAME VALLEY CANAL: Part 1
In my first part of my walk along the Tame Valley Canal, I start at Tame Valley Junction where the Tame Valley meets the Walsall Canal at Ocker Hill, Tipton. Walking the towpath to Rushall Junction where it meets the Rushall Canal, passing over the M5 along the way. We pass nearby Bromwich Hall and see a couple of BBC filming locations along the way.
WALKING THE TAME VALLEY CANAL: Part 2
The second part of the walk we continue along the towpath from Rushall Junction to Perry Barr Locks next to Birmingham Alexander Stadium. The canal passes through valleys and appears higher than its surroundings in parts of this section of the walk. We finish at Perry Barr Lock 7 next to Alexandra Stadium in Perry Barr
WALKING THE TAME VALLEY CANAL: Part 3
The final part of my walk along the Tame Valley, starting at Perry Barr Lock 7, where I finished in Part 2, and continuing to the end of the Tame Valley at Salford Junction underneath Spaghetti Junction. This is where the Tame Valley meets the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and the Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal.
