The Netherton Tunnel Branch Canal is a relatively short canal that is mostly underground as it passes through the netherton Tunnel. In total the canal is just under 2.5 Miles long with approximately 1.7 Miles of which is tunnel.  As well as the Netherton Tunnel the canal passes under the Old Birmingham Mainline Canal  at Tividale Aqueduct, this is just meters from the Northern entrance to the tunnel, at the Southern entrance the canal emerges from the tunnel into Warrens Hall Country Park, where there is only a short section of canal to Windmill End Junction where it meets with the Dudley Canal. The Northern end before the tunnel entrance there is a straight section of canal which links onto the Birmingham Mainline Canal.
