Rita L. Irwin Art Teacher Dissemination of Knowledge Award.
Organized by the editors of the journal Canadian Art Teacher (CAT) and
the Director of Publications of CSEA, award recipients will participate in a friendly 90-min online conversation
about art education in Canada (October 15, 2026, or Spring 2027), and receive a $150.00 prize.

In issue 21.2, in various ways, our authors tackle the interplay between space and place through artistic walking, making, critical thinking, turning to memory work to challenge the linear thinking of their space and place, instead to embrace multifaceted understandings and elicit connections which illuminate how and what we teach, affect our sense of belonging and shape our identity as we intersect and flow into our sense of engagement in the world.
