Description -

The pharmacist is a person who actually makes a vital linkage in between the doctor & patient. Therefore, there is a close relation between community pharmacist & public. As well as they maintain link with other health professionals in primary health care. Today there is an increasingly wide range of new drugs used in medicine, including high technology biological products, radiopharmaceuticals and also group of medical devices, some of which needs special knowledge on uses.

Therefore, the pharmacist must have a good knowledge especially on certain aspects of drugs including information on clinical uses, side effects, cautions, dosage forms, contraindications & storage of those. On the other words, pharmacist's vital responsibility is the utilization of scientific knowledge in proper use of modern medicines & protects the public against dangers, rather than performing traditional services, such as dispensing.

Certificate efficiency as Pharmacist -

Ceylon Medical College Counsel is conducting this course (SLMC body) in Island wide. By completing this course successfully you can get the SLMC certificate of efficiency to work as registered pharmacist. Annually 1700 students can sit for the exam, however very few are passing the exam because of no teaching and formal training, we are providing the training and teaching especially exam related training to pass that exam, To this date the value of the SLMC registration is 40,000 to 50,000 for a month ,

A/level “C” pass chemistry with other two main subject minimum “S”pass is needed (If you are following the university you also apply, because the lectures are mostly online and flexible days and time) , and if you get the BSc degree you also can be eligible, but f you already have SLMC registration such as medicine, physiotherapy, radiography, MLS you cannot apply. We will do the training and teaching and train you on how to face the exam. The lectures will be conducted by professional degree pharmacist. Then you can sit for the SLMC exam and get the SLMC registration.
