GENERAL INFORMATION:
Lodge renters will provide their own paper goods such as paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags. These are provided in the cabin.
Renters will purchase and remove their own food.
Trash removal by Watanda must be arranged, dumpster fees apply. There is no garbage service between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Recycling is required.
Renters will observe the ALL LAKE QUIET from 9:30 pm to 7 am in which only quiet activities that do not create a disturbance are to occur. Music is turned off and indoor voices for conversation.
Only non-motorized boating is permitted, canoes and life jackets are provided. All boaters under 18 must wear a life jacket.
Due to difficulty in cleaning, NO GLITTER, SMALL BEAD CRAFT PROJECTS, NO WATER BALLOONS OR CONFETTI.
NO speakers or amplifiers.
FIREARMS are strictly prohibited, including pellet guns, BB guns, sling shots, paint balls, etc. Archery is permitted under the supervision of qualified individual.
Watanda is an environmental site which sits in the middle of a developed neighborhood, bikes are permitted on established roads or the acreage behind the camp; no motorized bikes, ATV’s or Polaris type vehicles. Stay on existing trails and do not create “donuts”. NO bikes on the waterfront. Safety gear appropriate to the bike applies.
The killing, trapping or torture of any wildlife is prohibited. Fishing is permitted without a license.
FAMILY VACATION RENTAL:
Renters will supervise their children and guests at all times while in the water or boating.
Swimming and boating is at your own risk. Watanda does not provide a lifeguard. All Boaters under 18 will wear a Life Jacket.
Alcohol consumption is permitted for personal use. No underage drinking, no swimming or boating under the influence, and that the ALL-LAKE quiet is observed from 9:30 pm to 7:00 am.
All renters and guests will provide a Release of Liability waiver unless we are added as “additionally insured”. A final head count at the time of your arrival is requested so that we know how many are on site and have been accounted for in case of a fire; and to assure all appropriate fees have been paid for the indicated guests. Guest count includes all guests whether they spend the night or not.
HOW DO I RENT?
Complete the on-line reservation form and send a 20% nonrefundable deposit to:

Lodge requires a $250 refundable damage deposit with final payment, please
make as a separate check as this will be returned to you after check out.
Make checks out to CAMP WATANDA.
Balance of fees and cleaning fees are due 30 DAYS PRIOR to your reserved
date for the lodge and 14 DAYS for the cabin. Entire rental fees are due if
reservation less than this time.
You may pay by Check, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo or Credit Card (3.5% service fee will apply to credit card payments).
You will need to print from our web site the Lake Vera Waterfront Rules,
Watanda Lodge Policies & Procedures and Fire Prevention Plan. Please
share with your guests. Your signature on the rental agreement acknowledges
these rules.
TO CANCEL:
LODGE: Reservations of more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival, all monies will be refunded except for the 20% nonrefundable deposit unless we can re-rent. For less than 30 days all monies will be forfeited except the cleaning fee and damage deposit unless we can re-rent.
CABIN: Reservations more than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival, all monies will be refunded except for the 20% nonrefundable deposit unless we can re-rent. For less than 14 days, all monies will be forfeited except the cleaning fee unless we can re-rent.
KIOSKS: Full refund 72 hours prior to your arrival. There are no refunds within 72 hours of your arrival.
DAMAGE/COMPLAINT DEPOSIT:
Deposit will be returned within 2 weeks after check-out. In the event of damage or
excess clean-up required; cost of repairs, replacement or excessive clean-up will be
deducted from your deposit or billed to you.
Damage/Complaint deposit will be forfeited if the Sheriff has to
make a contact regarding noise/loud music after 9:30 pm.
WATANDA IS NO LONGER A SITE RENTAL FOR ORGANIZED CAMPS OR WEDDINGS. SPECIAL EVENTS MAY REQUIRE A USE PERMIT.
IMPORTANT: THIS IS A SEASONAL LAKE AND IS DRAINED FROM OCTOBER 1 TO APRIL 1. LAKE LEVELS CAN BE QUITE LOW TOWARDS THE END OF THE SUMMER AND IN DROUGHT YEARS.
