Q. Can we email our unit medical forms?
A. National policy states that medical forms can not be transmitted electronically. It also states that in order for any youth or adult to attend a Council or District Camp they must bring they must bring paper Medical Forms. For our district Camporee you will need part AB.
Q. Can our AOL or WEBELOS youth join out troop?
A. Due to the nature of the shooting sports and other events planned for this camporee no Cub Level youth are allowed to join.
Q. Will meals be provided?
A. Lunch will be provided by staff on Saturday. We will be serving a baked potato bar. If you have someone attending with dietary needs or allergies please email the staff at scissortailactivites@gmail.com
Q. Do you need volunteers at camp?
A. YES! We are currently looking for some scouts to run the interfaith service on Sunday morning. We will have pages of readings for the Scouts to choose from to lead the service.
If you have a Scout that needs to run a campfire for a merit badge requirement we would love to let them help Saturday evening
Q. Do you need to know how to play Dungeons and Dragons to attend?
A. Not at all....Points earned throughout the day will help build your DND character but we will have volunteers at camp that will be in charge of this area. Cracker-barrel Saturday evening we will be having multiple DND sessions going on (same story line just multiple tables). We will a lot of youth and adults helping new Scouts play and this will be a basic entry level game so everyone can have fun. Youth can attend Cracker-barrel if they want to just observe the games but need to be respectful of the people who are playing.
Q. Do we get to pick our campsite?
A. Camp staff will pick the campsites for each unit based on their size. At this time units will be camping down hill at JNSR so be sure your unit is prepared.
Q. Will there be a Trading Post and Branding?
A. Yes! We will have trading post open during meal times, before and after campfire and we will have snacks and sodas for sell during the DnD session. We will also have branding during the Saturday Cracker-barrel. If signal is strong enough we can take Credit Card payments at trading post but if possible cash is preferred.
