I love the challenge of facilitation, and I have listed some of the sessions and workshops I have done below. If you have something else or something specific in mind, let's talk about it and see if we can make it happen.
I've had the privilege of working with Residence House Committees at Stellenbosch University, to unpack and explain different leadership styles and explore the topic with them.
During the session we look to unpack the Seven Leadership styles and how these can be leveraged to help the group work together more effectively and get the best out of each leader.
What situations benefit different types of leaders and why it helps us to be aware of our own styles and when we might need to adjust the way we do things.
Especially valuable for teams looking to make a significant change in their community or work setup.
If you'd be interested in a similar session, please feel free to reach out.
These two hot topics can be combined into one session as was done when presenting to a Gr. 9 group at Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck in August 2022. And at Hoërskool Stellenbosch later that month with the +-240 male students in the school.
Alternatively, it can be offered as two separate sessions, where we unpack what both Empathy and Inclusivity mean in your community and why they are important.
Inclusivity
Insider vs Outsider narrated workshop
Identifying Privilege
What is Virtue Signalling
Acknowledging Building Blocks and Barriers.
Empathy
Creating awareness
Shining a light on emotional intelligence
A hands on, "Check-in" workshop, which upskills participants on how to foster a positive culture around mental health
Identifying and equipping first responders and points of contact
Defining the escalation process
Providing Language, Tools and Guidelines to act with Empathy.
I present a communication styles workshop for high performing teams, who are determined to leverage the best out of one another.
This workshop includes using tools available to better understand how someone does something and what motivates them to do it that way:
Meyers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The Enneagram
Love Languages
Strengthsfinder
The objective is not to fall in love with your team mate, but rather to explore and identify what motivates your colleague so that you can use it to speak to the part of their brain that motivates them. What this also does is act as a lightning conductor for potentially combustible situations.
What it doesn't do is give you an excuse for not doing your job because you don't want to. As an infamous, unnamed philosopher once said "Sorry I can't help it, I'm a Scorpio... No Karen, you're just being a bitch"
