Become a Counselor!
Q: When will I get the Zoom link for class?
A: You will be emailed the Zoom link at least 2 hours in advance of each class. You will also receive a Google Calendar well in advance.
Q: I'm on the waitlist. Now what?
A: Individuals on the waitlist will be notified if a spot in the class becomes available at least two hours beforehand. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate 100% of the people on the waitlist (as we take sign-ups on a first come, first serve basis), but we highly encourage your student to sign up for the next available classes! If you have any further questions, please contact us.
Q: Who can participate?
A: We welcome children aged 4-11 from all around the world. As long as you are able to adapt to Eastern Standard Time, you are welcome to join. Please check age recommendations for classes before registering.
Q: How is the privacy of our child protected during class?
A: Safety of both our teachers and students is our number one priority. We do not record sessions and allow students to mute themselves and turn off their cameras (although we encourage students to interact with the class as much as they feel comfortable!). In addition, all students are placed in a waiting room prior to class so that we can verify that they are on our roster. For more information about how to keep your child safe on Zoom, please check out this link. Parents are welcome (and even encouraged!) to supervise their children during sessions. If you have any other privacy concerns, please contact us at campcovidinfo@gmail.com for more information.
Q: Is participating in Camp COVID 100% free?
A: Yes! There is no cost for participating in Camp COVID. If you are looking for a way to compensate us for our time, we would love for you to donate to this GoFundMe. All of the funds raised will go to benefit Save The Children, and any donation will help make an impact. Donations are completely voluntary and please feel no pressure.
Q: How do I know what materials I need for classes?
A: Material lists will be sent out to parents a few days before the class.
Q: I signed up for a class that I can no longer attend. What should I do?
A: We ask that you please email us as soon as you know you won't be able to attend one of our classes so that we can let students off of our waitlist.
