transhumanism supports the integration of accelerated technological advancements within the framework of the technocapitalist society. It argues that rapid technological progress holds the promise of solving many of our societal challenges and ushering in a new phase of human civilization.
like chosing if you want a baby boy or a baby girl by changing genes 🧬 (awkward to me and dangerous in my opinion)
Transhumanism is more optimistic. The transhumanists (and Ray Kurzweil is one) claim that humanity can be technologically enhanced to be more free. They embrace the technocapitalist society. They are not crtical of it. What is more, they are in favor of accelerating technological development to the point where our biological limitations are superseded. Who wouldn't want to live up to 150 in a healthy body?
