Hello my name is Cameron Thompson. I was born in Leonardtown, Maryland but I was mainly raised in El Paso, Texas. My father was in the Army for 18 years so my family moved around a lot. I've lived in Arizona, El Paso, Texas (twice), Fort Irwin, California, and St Mary's County Maryland (twice). I live with my now retired father, my mom, and my little sister. I like doing math and enjoy solving algebraic problems.
I like to help my family members out with whatever tasks they need me to do. Over the summer I have taken down a garden and rebuilt it with my uncle, cut grass with my grandfather, helped set up family functions, and installed ceiling fans around my house with my mom.
I've played multiple sports during my time in highschool. I played football at Leonardtown High both my freshman and sophomore year. I also ran track sophomore year and threw shotput and discus my junior due to a foot injury. I intend to throw for track again my senior year in the spring.
I started going to the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center during my junior year. I am now on my second year of engineering and I am excited for what we'll do this year. This program is amazing and I highly recommend it for students looking for a hands on class that prepares you for the future.Â
