I'm Cameron Bruce and I am a Game Developer based in Brisbane. I only started properly getting into game development and design once I reached university. While I have learnt to use a variety of different game engines and programming languages, I am primarily experienced with working in Unity with C#. I have worked on the design and programming of various projects, along with being closely involved in their management and production.
I am currently studying Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments at the Queensland University of Technology. Majoring in Software Technologies with minors in Advanced Software Technologies and Game Design. Where I want to further my understanding towards Cybersecurity in hopes of assisting me to work within roles that have a focus on Programming. However, there have been a multitude of projects through this course that has made me consider a more design oriented role instead. 2022 - First Collaborative Game
Role : Programmer
The player is a nomad spirit who is protecting and restoring the golem by growing and tending to plants on its fallen body in the hopes of restoring it and the red desert waste to its former lush glory. The game is set on the body of a huge golem the surrounding land is barren red desert. The game will feature pixel-filtered low poly 3d assets in a cute simple stylized & bright style.
The objective is to see the golem restored, achieved by regrowing the plants and roots which bind its body together. To achieve this player must grow and protect resource-providing plants grown in the oasis are of the body. Once the player feels strong enough they can then visit the golem’s limbs to retrieve a seed of power that allows golem's body to be repaired and reconnect with the other limbs of its body.
2023 - First Collaboration with an Industry Partner

Safety Scenarios is a 2D spot the hazard game responding to energy Queensland, Safety Heroes as a “easter” egg type mini-game. The game is directed towards young primary school students, having vibrant and cartoon aesthetics. The purpose is to educate and direct our targeted players to learning about potential electrical hazards in an interactive manner. Through this, the gameplay will include identifying potential electrical items that are dangerous, then solving them with the correct response. Safety Scenarios is intended to be released on mobile, with the adaptability for other platforms such as consoles or PC.
2024 - First Fully Fledged VR Game

Delve into the world of espionage as a bumbling secret agent, equip with your wits and the equipment salvaged from your predecessor. Infiltrate classified space stations, distract the inattentive guards and use your top of the line equipment (and maybe a plunger or two?) to complete your mission and make the government proud. Master the art of environment manipulation in VR doing everything from hacking into the stations systems to using every day office supplies as weapons of mild inconvenience.

The most basic premise of Wanderway is to suppose a fantasy world to be made up of peoples inspired by pre- or non-agricultural human societies: current, historical, and pre-historical. This, with a view to exploring the contributions that the industrial and agricultural revolutions may have made to the current global predicament. With no strings attached, players entering the world of Wanderway may suppose they are not beholden to formal currency, alarm clocks, or notions of productivity. It spruiks no ideological perspective, but through interaction with the game world, it is designed to playfully provoke thought in the player.
2023 - Fate Based TTRPG
Create the bust of the 'Iron Giant', while the model needs to follow the design in the reference images, you are to create a custom look for your outcome through the use of textures and materials. You will need to present the outcome both as rendered images (displaying different poses) and also as a completed 3D asset (sketchfab).

This project is driven by my desire to revisit and remake a game I previously developed. The original game, crafted with a less advanced engine, has always held a special place in my heart and is one that I wish I could have done more for. Along with a showcase item that is my own, as opposed to the numerous amount of collaborative items. However, advancements in technology and my growing skills have inspired me to breathe new life into it, utilizing a more sophisticated game engine to elevate the experience. The opportunity to refine and enhance the original concept not only aligns with my commitment to continuous improvement but also allows me to explore creative boundaries I couldn’t fully reach before. Moreover, my career trajectory remains uncertain, making this project a crucial step in diversifying my portfolio and skills.
