Hands-On Evaluation
Every camera is inspected in person to see what’s really going on. Because the work is detailed and parts may need to be researched, estimates aren’t given on the same day you drop it off.
Honest Advice
If it’s worth fixing, you’ll get a detailed, accurate estimate. If it’s not, you’ll know why.
Careful Repair
All work is done in-house, right here in the shop, with the same tools and patience used for decades.

Meet Mike!
Born in London. Schooled in Germany. Settled in California.
He’s been repairing well-built cameras since the early ’70s — the kind made to last a lifetime. He works solo, never outsources, and always tells it like it is.
“If it’s worth fixing, I’ll fix it. If it’s not, you’ll know why.”
At Camera Tech, every repair starts with a hands-on inspection at the bench.
Because cameras are complex and parts may need to be sourced, estimates aren’t given on the same day you drop your camera off. It takes time to give you an accurate plan — and that’s the only kind worth having.
You’ll leave with answers, not vague advice.
But we still fix ’em like we always have.
If your camera is a trusted tool, a treasured family piece, or part of your photographic journey, it belongs here.
Bring it in during shop hours and let’s see what can be done!
