WELCOME TO CAMERA TECH!
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are free and performed in person at the workbench.
Why don’t you give estimates over the phone?
Camera repair is not guesswork. A single symptom can have multiple causes. Without seeing the camera, any number given would be a guess. Accurate estimates require in-person inspection.
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
No appointment is required. Bring your camera or lens during business hours for evaluation.
What is included in an in-person estimate?
Each estimate includes a hands-on inspection, functional testing of key systems, identification of mechanical or electronic issues, and a clear explanation of findings before any work begins.
Is there any obligation after receiving an estimate?
No. You receive the information needed to decide how to proceed.
Who performs the repairs?
All repairs are performed in-house by Mike. The person who evaluates your equipment is the person who works on it.
How long does a repair take?
Repair time depends on the issue and parts availability. After evaluation, you will be given a realistic timeline.
Can all cameras be repaired?
Not all equipment is serviceable. Repair depends on condition, model, age, and parts availability. Evaluation is required to determine what is possible.
Do you rush repairs?
Repairs are completed carefully and properly. Timelines are based on the work required rather than speed alone.
What brands do you service?
Camera Tech services many major camera and lens brands, including current professional systems and older equipment no longer supported by manufacturers. Service depends on the model and condition.
Do you repair both digital and film cameras?
Yes. Both digital and film cameras are evaluated and serviced when possible.
Do you repair lenses?
Yes. Manual and autofocus lenses are evaluated in person to determine service options.
Do you work on older or vintage cameras?
Many older cameras are serviceable. Mechanical condition and parts availability determine what can be done.
Do you service equipment not listed on your website?
Possibly! Bring it in for evaluation.
Do you perform CLA service (Clean, Lube, & Adjust)?
Yes. CLA service restores proper mechanical function for cameras and lenses that have not been serviced in years.
Do you repair battery corrosion?
Battery damage is evaluated case by case. In some situations, corrosion can be cleaned and repaired.
Do you calibrate shutters and light meters?
When possible, shutters and meters are tested and calibrated to restore proper operation.
Do you clean image sensors?
Sensor issues are evaluated in person to determine the correct service.
When is payment due?
Payment is due at pickup.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept cash or Zelle.
