Junior Development
at Cambridge Volleyball Club
Our junior programme is about developing players, building confidence and enjoying volleyball as part of a team.
Our junior programme is about developing players, building confidence and enjoying volleyball as part of a team.
We’ve had lots of interest in our Junior Development Programme, and some groups are now full.
If your child has some volleyball experience, please complete our enquiry form and tell us a little about them. We’ll let you know if we have a place available. If you don’t hear from us, it’s simply because we don’t currently have any space.

Our training groups aren’t simply a progression from one group to the next.
Players are placed based on a combination of their age, ability, experience and development needs.
As players develop during the season, we’ll regularly review the groups and may move players when we feel it’s the right step for their development.
📅 Training takes place across the week at different times and venues.
⏰Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and be ready to train at the scheduled start time.
Players should bring a water bottle 💦, suitable training kit and clean indoor shoes 👟Outdoor shoes should not be worn on the sports hall floor.
Players should wait outside the sports hall until their coach is ready for them to enter.

In 2016, we began working with Hills Road Sixth Form College to encourage more young people to take up volleyball. Hills Road Sixth Form Volleyball Club was established as a satellite club, helping to bridge the gap between school, college and community sport.
The partnership has given young players the opportunity to develop their volleyball, build confidence and resilience, and develop skills and habits that can stay with them beyond sixth form.
We’re proud of the role our coaches and volunteers at Cambridge Volleyball Club have played in helping young people discover volleyball and become part of the volleyball community in Cambridge.
This event is also a chance to support our Club. Every contribution counts and your support will mean a lot to us 💝 Thank you!
