About us

Cambridge Volleyball Club is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation affiliated with Volleyball England.
Being the largest volleyball club in Cambridge, we aim to offer volleyball for all, from complete beginners to high performance athletes, with the support of volunteers, players and coaches who are passionate about volleyball in Cambridgeshire, England.
We have two men’s and two women’s teams in the National Volleyball League, two men’s, one women’s and one mixed team in the county and regional league and two mixed groups (recreational and intermediate).
Our junior section now makes up more than a third of our 180+ membership.
The club is run for the benefit of all members, to enable them to learn and play volleyball to the level that their ability and commitment allows.
Our mission is to inspire participation and to encourage development of volleyball through coaching, games and competitions.

Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge Volleyball Club – The Collaboration

In 2014, CVC and ARU set up a collaboration agreement to allow ARU students to train and compete alongside the CVC National or County League teams.
The purpose of the collaboration is to contribute to a professional and progressive volleyball environment being created by Anglia Ruskin University and Cambridge Volleyball Club.
The hope is that through this collaboration ARU students will benefit from the increased training and high level competition opportunities.  It is also hoped that the collaboration will attract National League standard players to the university, in line with their strategy to increase their BUCS ranking.
The collaboration will increase the pool of players for Cambridge Volleyball Club and increase the club profile both locally and nationally.
