A Call to be a Daughter of St. Mary of Providence
Who are the DSMP's?
Who are the DSMP's?
The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence (also called Guanellians after their Founder, St. Louis Guanella) are a Religious Congregation of Pontifical Right*. Founded in Italy, over one hundred years ago, they are an international community of Sisters, who are present in 15 countries. The Province of the Immaculate Conception includes the United States, Mexico and the Philippines.
We open our hearts to the poor who we see as living images of Christ and dedicate ourselves to persons less favored with gifts of intelligence, physical health, those in need of religious formation and those deprived of human support. We strive to reveal the provident love of the Father by our Works of Mercy.
*Institutes of pontifical right are those erected or approved by the Holy See by formal decree. Institutes of diocesan right are those erected by Bishops and which have not obtained a decree of approval from the Holy See (can. 589)

Sit in God's presence.
Sit in God's presence.
Allow His light & love to permeate & saturate your heart.
Allow His light & love to permeate & saturate your heart.
Then even in the darkness, you will be able to radiate his love to many others!
