In a few weeks we will be having our Fall BOD meeting in Sandy, Utah on Saturday, November 12th, at 5:30pm following the Intermountain Train Show. 

Our Spring 2017 BOD meeting was held in June in Durango during the Region Convention.  It has been my desire to move the BOD meetings around the Region as best we can to allow as many areas as possible to attend a BOD meeting.  BOD meetings are always a challenge with a far-flung region as we have.

We have experimented a little with the use of Skype as a way for more people to be actively involved in the meetings to hear all the discussion. While there appears to be some merit to Skype, it has become apparent that we will all need some training before we can fully implement its use. Maybe we will have a clinic at the 2018 Convention on Skype training.

The 2018 RMR Convention will be held next May in Cheyenne during the Cheyenne Depot Days celebration and Train Show.  It will be a one-day event featuring a full day of clinics as well as a model contest. It’s never too early to start getting your models ready for the contest. Plan on attending the convention to support The Sherman Hill Club’s efforts and excellent train show and see all your Region friends you haven’t seen since last year’s convention.
