DIVISION ACTIVITIES

The Sheridan Model Railroad Association held the fall get-together and picnic at the Deerfeathers Garden Railway in Ranchester.  Bob Charles likes to have the SMRA members come for a picnic in the fall and have an opportunity to observe the summer’s progress on the Deerfeathers Railway.  This year, the under construction sawmill buildings were present, and, as usual, there were more new bridges.  I am beginning to suspect that eventually the entire railway will be up on a bridge of some sort.  Bob likes to build bridges.

The Northern Wyoming Division held the annual fall meeting in Sheridan.  Twelve members came from the Sheridan area and eight members came from the Casper area.  We lost our good friend and great modeler, Paul Stout, in August.  There was an election of officers with the usual suspects retained in office.  Clinics were presented on a variety of subjects.

A schedule was decided upon for future division activities.  Sheridan will have an open house on November 19, 2016.  Casper’s open house will be November 25 & 26, 2016.  Casper will also have a train related display at the Trail Center on weekends in December.  The spring division meeting will be in Casper and the fall division meeting will be in Sheridan.
