The Contest Chair

The 2015 Denver Convention is fast approaching.  Therefore, I would hope that you are preparing a model or diorama for display.  The convention theme is "SMOKE AND STEAM", so a model based on either or both subjects would be appropriate.  There will be a Mini Diorama Category for that subject.

Planning is now taking place to improve the awards for the three highest merit scores earned in the Achievement Program judging.  The recipients will now receive something a little better than an old paper certificate. Enter your best model and see what happens.

I will be retiring from the Contest Chairman position at the end of the 2015 Convention.  I have been your Contest Chairman for nine years now, and feel it is time for someone with new ideas to take over.  That person will be Gary Myers, who will start with the 2016 Convention in Colorado Springs.
