Harp Studio Policies 2024-2025
This is a summary of important studio policies for 2024-2025 for quick reference for current students and their families.Β

Business Hours & Communication Guidelines
π΅ Business hours: Monday - Friday, 11:00am-8:30pm.
π΅ Teaching hours: Monday - Friday: 11:00am-2:30pm,Β 3:30pm-8:30pm.Β
π΅ You may contact me via email or text any time. I will typically respond within 1 business day. If I receive a message outside of business hours, I will not respond until the next business day.Β
π΅ Because of my teaching schedule, it is best to schedule phone calls in advance (with the exception of urgent messages).
π΅ You can expect to receive a monthly group text message with important updates, upcoming events, and payment reminders.
Attendance Policies
π΅ In the case of mild sickness or inclement weather, lessons will be done virtually via FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom.
π΅ If your child will miss a lesson due to illness or schedule conflicts, you should inform me via text message, phone call, or email as soon as possible.Β
π΅ You should expect to receive a video lesson or written assignment as a substitute for missed lessons. I will use the student's original lesson time to plan, record, and send the video lesson or written assignment. If you did not inform me of the lesson absence in advance of the student's original lesson time, you will not receive a video lesson or written assignment.
π΅ Lessons begin and end at the scheduled time. If you are late, that is time that you will forfeit. It will not be rescheduled and no refund will be given.
π΅ If you are more than 15 minutes late to your lesson and have not communicated to me that you are still coming, the lesson will be canceled and no refund will be given.Β
π΅ If you forget to attend a lesson, the lesson will not be rescheduled and no refund will be given.
π΅ Persistent tardiness or absences may result in dismissal from the harp studio without refund.
π΅ If I need to cancel or change a lesson time, you will be given as much notice as possible with options for rescheduling.
Payment
π΅ Payments can be made via Zelle, Venmo, or check.
π΅ Monthly lesson payment will be due by the 5th of each month. A late fee of $20 will be added to any payment received after the 5th.
π΅ Monthly lesson payments will always remain the same, regardless of the exact number of lessons in that particular month. Tuition is based on the total number of lessons scheduled or the entirety of the registration period.
π΅ You are expected to make the monthly payment for the entire registration period of August 2024-July 2025.
π΅ If your child is unavailable for lessons during June and/or July 2025, you can still receive the full value of lessons paid for by utilizing Flex Days (see next section for details).
π΅Families should expect a yearly increase in tuition appropriate to cost of living increases and services offered.Β
Studio Calendar & Flex Days
π΅ 2024-2025 Registration period begins on August 19 and ends on August 1.
π΅ Additional harp studio events will be announced throughout the year. These events will provide opportunities to learn, perform, and get to know the other harpists in the studio!

π΅ Deadline to schedule Flex Day Lessons if you will be absent June-July 2025

Flex Days
π΅ Flex Days are planned into the studio calendar. If the Flex Days are not being used, we will not meet for regular lessons during those days. Flex Days will only be used if one of these 2 situations occurs:
If I experience a family emergency, serious illness, or otherwise need to replace a scheduled week of harp lessons during this registration period, the Flex Days will be utilized as a substitute for the week(s) missed.Β
If you know that your child will not be available for lessons during the months of June and/or July and would still like to receive the full value of lessons paid for during those months, you may utilize the flex days to schedule the same number of lessons that you would have missed. There are 3 lessons scheduled in June and 3 lessons scheduled in July, meaning that you may schedule up to 6 lessons during flex days throughout this registration period.

π΅ If you would like to utilize the Flex Days for the second reason outlined above, it is your responsibility to inform me of this by April 7, 2025 so that we can schedule the number of Flex Day lessons you need in a timely manner.
