Private Harp Lessons
Weekly harp lessons are available in either 45 minute or 1 hour durations and take place at my private harp studio. You do not need to bring your own harp to lessons, as I have a variety of harps available for you to use at my studio!
Harps come in many different types and sizes. The most common types are pedal harps, lever harps, and lap harps. If you do not already have a harp, I will assist you in finding a harp to rent or buy so you can practice at home.
I customize my approach for each student based on their personal interests, music preferences, and goals. Lessons will generally include information about about harp technique, basic harp maintenance, musical creativity/expression, performance skills, and how to read sheet music. Depending on their individual interests, students may also receive guidance on other related skills such as music theory/history, harp history, composition, arranging, and improvisation during their lessons.
Summer Group Classes
Studio members have the option to sign up for summer group classes in addition to private lessons. Those who sign up will be sorted into small groups of 2-3 harpists.
This is a great opportunity to play harp ensemble music, improve your technique, and meet other harpists! Group classes will also feature age/level-appropriate music games and activities.
