Throughout my journey at LSU, I engaged as an active member of the Biological Engineering Student Organization (BESO). This student-led group offered valuable insights and networking opportunities. While my involvement was periodic, I embraced the chance to participate in meetings featuring guest speakers, informative discussions, and a wealth of knowledge relevant to Biological Engineering students' academic and career pursuits.
In my final year at LSU, I proudly became a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), aligning with their inspiring mission. This empowering organization aimed to propel women to reach their fullest potential as engineers and leaders.
Through the Engaged Citizens program, I have passionately devoted over 120 hours to service initiatives that align with critical community needs. This commitment reflects my dedication to addressing societal challenges while fulfilling the program's requirements.
During the spring of 2021, I undertook the role of a Regional Coordinator for Geaux Big, a student service initiative aimed at benefiting the Greater Baton Rouge community. As part of a team of coordinators, my responsibilities included communicating with assigned service sites to determine volunteer requirements, needed tools, and any unique considerations. Through this collective endeavor, I contributed to shaping an impactful and celebration of service. We collectively addressed needs, fostering a shared sense of purpose and positive change.
