The C.A.C.A.-LA Youth Council is a youth-focused program of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance Los Angeles Lodge. The Youth Council gives young people opportunities to build leadership skills, serve the community, connect with Chinese American culture, and participate in civic engagement and outreach.
The C.A.C.A.-LA Youth Council was created to increase youth engagement and strengthen community outreach in the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley region. As part of C.A.C.A.-LA, the Youth Council connects young leaders with mentorship, service opportunities, cultural education, civic engagement, and leadership development.
Through meetings, events, service projects, and outreach efforts, members will have the opportunity to learn, serve, and lead while helping carry forward C.A.C.A.’s mission of education, community service, cultural preservation, and responsible citizenship.
The Youth Council is open to middle school students, high school students, and young leaders who are interested in service, leadership, culture, and community involvement.
No prior leadership experience is required. We welcome students who are willing to learn, participate, and make a positive impact in the community.
Youth Council members may participate in:
Youth Council meetings
Volunteer and service projects
Cultural and historical education events
Civic engagement activities
C.A.C.A.-LA programs and events
Members will have the opportunity to work with other youth leaders, adult mentors, and C.A.C.A.-LA members to support meaningful community projects.
By joining the C.A.C.A.-LA Youth Council, members can:

The Youth Council is a place for young people to grow, contribute, and become part of the next generation of community leaders.
Students interested in joining should complete the Membership Application Form and review the Membership Application Requirements Document before applying.
Students interested in officer positions or Youth Ambassador roles should also complete the separate Officer Application Form and review the Officer Description Document.
General membership and officer applications are separate.
Membership applications are open year-round and may be submitted at any time.

Youth Ambassadors serve as representatives of the C.A.C.A.-LA Youth Council at their schools, communities, and peer networks. They help promote Youth Council events, recruit new members, share social media posts, distribute flyers, and encourage youth participation.
Youth Ambassadors play an important role in helping make C.A.C.A.-LA more visible, welcoming, and accessible to younger generations.
