Start by getting familiar with the parts that make up a whoop drone and how they all work together. You’ll earn your FAA UAS TRUST certification, learn the basics of drone anatomy, and practice safe handling and charging of LiPo batteries. These first steps give you the foundation to safely enter the FPV hobby.
Next, you’ll get hands-on with the electronics. After a full day of soldering practice, you and your team will assemble your own drone, connecting motors, flight controllers, receivers, and VTX systems. By the end, you’ll understand how all the components link together and how to bring a drone to life.
With your drone built, it’s time to fly! You’ll set up flight modes in Betaflight, practice piloting in simulators, and then take to the air. As your skills grow, you’ll race through gates and challenge other teams at Race-Days, preparing you for even bigger drone projects ahead.
