In case you haven’t noticed, America’s boys and young men are in trouble – not doing well in school, lacking ambition, often floundering. Not all of them, of course, but enough to take notice.

Men seek therapy in lesser frequency; however, when they do it is for a variety of concerns. The historical male role has been depicted as in a stereotype that has established a certain expectations for what it means to be a man. Furthermore, the socially acceptable male role has shifted over the past few decades. Often these aspects coupled with a traditional cultural norms, pressuring developing boys, increases stress levels.
