It has been said that "all therapy is family therapy". With that said, we exist as an influenced and influencing member of multiple social systems. Our original social system is the family unit. A family is traditionally a close knit and closely interacting unit of individuals attempting to make the most out of their experience while also contributing to the family construct. The need to find one's place and achievement in this world directly influences the nature of the family. In appreciation of this, we begin to understand how conflict can arise.
