These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Byaj Book mobile application (“App”) operated by [Legal Entity Name] (“we”, “us”, “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Byaj Book is an offline-first tool for recording and managing loans, interest, payments, and related financial records. The App helps you track information you enter. It is not a bank, lender, NBFC, financial advisor, accountant, or legal service. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, tax, or legal advice.
You are solely responsible for how you use the App and for complying with applicable laws, including laws relating to lending, borrowing, interest rates, and personal data.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Byaj Book. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement, or that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms for you.
The App is intended primarily for users in India, but you are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your location.
Phone-based login: Your mobile phone number is your account identity. You sign in using a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS.
Accurate information: You agree to provide accurate account information, including your name where requested.
Account security: You are responsible for keeping access to your phone and device secure. If you enable app lock or a PIN, you are responsible for remembering it. We cannot recover your PIN.
One person, one account: You may not create multiple accounts to abuse free limits, referrals, or promotions.
You control your records: The App stores loan and customer/lender information that you enter. You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of that information.
Third-party information: If you enter names, phone numbers, addresses, or other details about customers, lenders, or other individuals, you confirm that you have a lawful right to collect and store that information.
No guarantee of calculations: While the App applies standard interest and settlement formulas described in the product, you must independently verify all amounts before relying on them for real-world financial decisions.
Offline use: The App works offline. Data is primarily stored on your device. If you do not use premium cloud sync, loss of your device or uninstalling the App without backup may result in permanent loss of data. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, accidental deletion, or failure to back up.
Free plan: Free users may use core features subject to app limits, including a limit on the number of customers you can manage (currently up to 3 customers).
Premium plan: Premium unlocks additional features such as unlimited customers, reports, statistics, security features, cloud backup and sync, PDF reports, and multi-device access. Premium features require an active subscription unless otherwise granted by us.
Changes to plans: We may change free and premium features, limits, or pricing with reasonable notice where required by law or app store rules. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance.
Admin grants: We may grant premium access manually to testers, family, or promotional users. Such access may be modified or revoked at our discretion.
Google Play Billing: Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. Payment is processed by Google, not by us directly. We do not receive or store your full payment card or UPI details.
Billing terms: Subscriptions renew automatically according to the plan you choose (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel through Google Play before the renewal date. Refunds are handled according to Google Play’s refund policies and applicable law.
Price changes: Subscription prices may change for future billing periods. Google Play will notify you where required.
No modification of Google subscription dates by referrals: Referral rewards are provided as separate reward months and do not alter your underlying Google Play subscription billing dates.
Failed or expired subscriptions: If your subscription expires or payment fails, premium features may stop working and cloud sync may no longer occur. Your local data generally remains on your device unless you delete it.
Deleting your account does not cancel billing: If you delete your Byaj Book account, you must separately cancel any active Google Play subscription to avoid future charges.
The App may offer a referral program under which you receive a unique referral code to share with others.
How rewards work: Referral rewards are granted only when a referred user installs the App, creates an account, purchases premium, and the Google Play purchase is successfully verified. Installs alone do not qualify.
Current reward rule: Every three verified premium referrals may earn one reward month, subject to the rules displayed in the App at the time.
No abuse: You may not use fake accounts, self-referrals, misleading promotion, spam, or any fraudulent method to earn referral rewards. We may withhold or revoke rewards and suspend accounts involved in abuse.
Program changes: We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program at any time.
Premium users may sync selected data to our cloud infrastructure. Sync requires an internet connection and an active premium subscription.
Cloud sync is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted sync, perfect conflict resolution, or recovery of every version of your data. Sync conflicts may be resolved using last-update rules as implemented in the App.
You remain responsible for maintaining your own records and backups where needed for your business or legal purposes.
You agree not to:
use the App for unlawful lending, harassment, fraud, money laundering, or any illegal activity
attempt to reverse engineer, hack, scrape, overload, or disrupt the App or our systems
access another user’s account or data without authorization
misuse support, referral, or subscription systems
upload or store content that violates third-party rights or applicable law
use the App in a way that could harm us, other users, or service providers
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or legal risk.
You may contact us for support at byajmitra@gmail.com or through in-app support where available. We will try to respond within a reasonable time but do not guarantee a specific response time or resolution.
The App, including its design, code, branding, logos, and content provided by us, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal business record-keeping in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App except as allowed by law.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://sites.google.com/view/byaj-book/privacy-policy. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if required by law or app store policy.
You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete your account through the in-app delete account flow described in our Account Deletion Policy. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
calculations, reports, or balances will be error-free
the App will meet your specific business needs
cloud sync, OTP delivery, or third-party services will always be available
data will never be lost, corrupted, or delayed
You use the App at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
the amount you paid us for premium services in the 12 months before the claim, or
INR 1,000
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
your use of the App
your loan or financial records and dealings with customers or lenders
your violation of these Terms or applicable law
information you enter about third parties
The App relies on third-party services such as MSG91, Supabase, and Google Play. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages, actions, or policies outside our control.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at https://sites.google.com/view/byaj-book/terms-and-conditions and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law or app store rules. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [City, State], India, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at byajmitra@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Account Deletion Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, SMS delivery failures, cloud provider failures, natural disasters, or government actions.
