This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your Byaj Book account, what data is removed, what may be retained, and how to contact us if you need help.

Byaj Book lets you delete your account at any time from within the App. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
When you delete your account, we remove your cloud account and associated server data, clear your local app data on that device, and sign you out of the App.
You can delete your account directly in the App by following these steps:
Open Byaj Book
Go to Settings
Tap Delete account
Read the confirmation message and tap Delete account to continue
Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your registered mobile number
Confirm deletion
After successful verification, your account will be deleted and you will be returned to the login screen.
Requirements:
You must be signed in to your account
An active internet connection is required to verify OTP and complete cloud deletion
You must have access to the phone number linked to your account
If you cannot complete in-app deletion, contact us at byajmitra@gmail.com from your registered phone number or with enough information for us to verify your identity.
When deletion is completed, the App will:
verify your identity using OTP
permanently delete your cloud account and related server data
delete your local ledger data stored in the App on that device
clear local app settings and preferences on that device
sign you out and prevent further access with the deleted account
Once deleted, you cannot recover your account, cloud backup, or local records through the App.
When you delete your account, we delete the following from our systems, where applicable:
Account and profile data: your user account, profile information such as name and phone number, language preference, referral code, referral counts, and reward month records linked to your account.
Financial records synced to the cloud (Premium users): customers, lenders, loans, and transactions associated with your account.
Support data: your support tickets and related messages.
Subscription records on our servers: subscription event records stored in our database for your account.
Referral relationships: referral records where you are the referrer or the referred user.
Authentication account: your sign-in account used to access Byaj Book.
On your device, the App also deletes local SQLite records for customers, loans, and transactions tied to your account, and clears stored app preferences such as login state, subscription cache, referral code, app lock settings, and other saved settings.
Some information may remain outside the App even after account deletion:
Google Play subscription: deleting your Byaj Book account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. If you have a premium subscription, you must cancel it separately through Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Otherwise, Google may continue billing you according to Google Play’s policies.
Google Play purchase history: Google may retain purchase and billing records according to Google’s own policies. We do not control Google’s retention of that data.
Third-party service logs: our service providers, such as MSG91 for OTP delivery and Supabase for hosting, may retain limited technical or security logs for a period according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Backup and disaster recovery copies: deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited time before those backups are overwritten or expired. We do not use deleted account data for active service purposes after deletion is completed.
Legal and compliance records: we may retain certain information where required by law, regulation, tax rules, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution, but only for as long as legally necessary.
Information you shared outside the App: if you exported PDF reports, shared screenshots, or stored records elsewhere, we cannot delete copies outside our systems.
Free users: most of your ledger data is stored locally on your device. Account deletion removes your cloud profile and authentication account, and clears local app data on the device where deletion is completed.
Premium users: if you used cloud sync, your synced customers, loans, and transactions stored on our servers are deleted as part of account deletion, in addition to local data on the device.
If you used Byaj Book on more than one device, deleting your account on one device removes cloud access for all devices. Any remaining local data on other devices may still exist until that device’s app data is cleared or the App is uninstalled, but the deleted account can no longer sign in or sync.
We recommend that you do the following before deleting your account:
export or back up any records you may need in the future, such as PDF reports if available on your plan
cancel your Google Play subscription if you no longer want to be billed
make sure you understand that deletion is permanent
ensure you have access to your registered phone number to receive the OTP
Once your account is deleted, we cannot restore your records.
If you delete your account and later return to Byaj Book, you may create a new account using your phone number, subject to app availability and sign-in rules at that time.
A new account will not include data from your deleted account unless you manually re-enter it. Previous referral history, premium status, reward months, and synced records from the deleted account will not be restored.
Account deletion begins immediately after successful OTP verification. In most cases, deletion is completed right away. In rare cases, such as network interruption or temporary service outage, deletion may take additional time to fully complete across all systems.
If deletion fails, the App will show an error message. You may try again or contact us for help.

the phone number registered with your account
a clear request to delete your account
any information needed to verify that you own the account
We may ask for additional verification before processing your request.
Byaj Book is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users between 13 and 17 should use the App with parental or guardian supervision.
If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has created an account, or wishes to request deletion of a minor’s account, they may contact us at byajmitra@gmail.com with the registered phone number and verification details. We will take appropriate steps to review and delete the account where required.
We may update this Account Deletion Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at:

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
