Phantasy Lounge Palooza event at The Lounge in North Park was a HIT!!!
San Diego has always been know for Comic Con International, which is not only responsible for bringing people together with the shared Fandom passion but it has brought teams together to strive to do the same elsewhere. I was once upon a time, part of the initial team for Comic Con Palm Springs, which from what I understand after I left, has gone down in flames... Makes sense it was scheduled for August in the middle of the desert... but hard to expect anything to do this, I mean, Comics and the culture of Fandom can bring 15,000 people in the desert together, but what other event would people storm through 121 degree weather in full cosplay? So, I helped out another team, Phantasy Lounge team believes we can bring fandom culture together, I mean... why not in North Park San Diego?
So not that we had a Comic Con sized event, but we brought cool people together to enjoy something they love. Congrats to the Cosplay competition winners, the Smash Brothers Tournament winners and the Phantasy lounge team for making their first Palooza event happen! With Comic Con San Diego coming up, it is cool to have met with locals who are also going to SDCC. Part of the spirit of the Phantasy Lounge is to bring people together regularly, so they host monthly events at AC Lounge and quarterly events where they expand to the Out Door Event Space called the Glampisphere, this increases the event capacity by over 70 people, allowing almost 200 locals to Smash some Fandom!
If you are up to host an event at Glampishere, please check out their website, for San Diego, this event space is quite affordable with simple hourly rates and NO bar minimum costs. So if you want to host an escape location for during the SD Comic Con, this location is more than ready to serve you! ... And it is attached to the Air Conditioned Lounge, so that is a COOL plus... Plus Drinks at the bar are way more affordable than Downtown San Diego options.. Take a look at The Lounge's happy hour menu as you can see great deals and LONG happy hours!

The Official Adams Avenue Unplugged Wrap-Up Dance Party at AC Lounge

It’s that time of year again, Adam’s Ave, a quaint neighborhood will soon be flooded with excited crowds ready to enjoy free music and the unique ambiences within the venues 2.5 miles Adams Avenue. Adams Avenue Unplugged will take place this Saturday, April 27th 2019. The Air Conditioned Lounge, along with their incredible neighbors, North Park bars and business friends, will be hosting multiple performances (80 total for the Unplugged event!) from 12pm-10pm all thanks to the great folks at the Adams Avenue Business Association! Following the daytime festivities, the AC Lounge, being one of the only local North Park dance bars, will also be hosting the official after party at the AC Lounge venue to keep the party goin’ all night long!
The Adam's Ave unplugged musical walkabout is FREE, and gives a unique opportunity to experience the many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and small businesses that make the community so special! For more details on this event and to make sure you hear all of your favorite local bands, make sure you check out the official website for a full musician lineup. Enjoy a perfect day of musical bliss, delicious food and drinks galore, and then head on over to the AC Lounge for an epic dance party to end your night off right! The energy of the Unplugged event is so action packed, and the staff love opening the colorful, eclectic venue to the many talented musicians and pleasant attendees. Adams Avenue Unplugged is definitely one of the favorite events of the year for the staff of AC Lounge, "We are proud to share our beautiful venue during the Unplugged event!" they said in an interview. I wanted to Highlight a few Local Events happening this week at Air Conditioned Lounge a venue that I think is going to have a whole new breath of life in 2019! I see so many venues that are struggling, but this venue not only does a great job keeping up with the event and music scene, they also keep the venue classy, clean and an always quality experience!
