Additional Guidance
Pick a date! It is important to have a deadline so that you can plan ahead. It is alright to move the date of the event early on, but have an idea of when you want the event to be so you can plan accordingly.
Allow plenty of time for tasks; but stay on course with hard deadlines. Build in extra time if needed in case some tasks take longer than expected.
Keep to a small budget; Start with modest estimates for awards, signs, and other expenses. Increase expenses if fundraising goes better than expected.
Check in frequently with partners; If there are other people helping you run the competition (teachers, other students, etc.) check in frequently to make sure everyone stays on track, and can adress problems quickly if they arise.
