Bullies have a strong need to control and suppress others to get their own way. (Saracho, 2017) compares the characteristics of both the bully and the victims of the bully.

Bullies are:

• impatient and easily enraged
• Intimidate others
• physically stronger than their peers
• rebellious and aggressive toward others, including parents and teachers
• Have little sympathy toward those who are victimized .

Victims are:

• low self-esteem. cautious, sensitive, quiet, withdrawn and shy, anxious, insecure, sad and sometimes suicidal.
• Easily intimidated
• Lacking friends
• Relate better with adults than with peers.
• Physically weaker than their peers .
