This product of learning is a series of curricular materials, including a complete unit of study and 5 corresponding lesson plans with descriptive cover sheets, targeted for a 9-12 standard history course. The product focuses on American history and consists of content related to industrialization in 19th Century America. Throughout the unit, students are engaged in historical thinking skills and inquiry as they practice analyzing primary source documents and drawing conclusions. Students will be able to answer the question "Can an industrial economy succeed without taking advantage of those who do the work?" Likewise, students will be able to apply the knowledge they learned during the unit to present-day labor laws and personal work experiences.Â
