Welcome to our Bulldog Battalion Raider Team!
We hope to start Raider up again in the spring semester of 2026.
We encourage all of our cadets to join one or more of our co-curricular JROTC teams. First and foremost, we emphasize academic excellence. Likewise, we also focus on good attendance, exceptional behavior in and outside of our JROTC classroom, the practice of a healthy lifestyle and a personal commitment to our teams. We have well-structured team rules and policies that are explained in great detail to each and every one of our team members at the beginning of every season.
JROTC offers many teams open to all cadets. These teams are an extension of the program as they promote leadership, decision-making, discipline, physical fitness, mental well-being and volunteerism. One of the most notable teams is the Raider Team. The Raider team is the most physically demanding extracurricular activity in JROTC. A well-rounded Raider team must be in top-notch shape as many of the activities include push-ups, sit ups, and / or running. A Raider team consists of a minimum 10 with at least two females on the team. The Raider Team is for those cadets who wish to challenge their physical endurance, mental strength, and their leadership. All cadets who participate in the Raider Team will have a chance to strengthen their leadership, improve their fitness, and participate in competitions against other school Raider Teams. Raiders is for people who want to put their fitness and endurance on the line and for people who wish to challenge themselves. Upon successful selection for the Raider Team, each team member will recieve OCPs, patrol cap, and boots. Additionally, each Cadet will be awarded the N-3-8 Adventure Training Ribbon and be authorized to wear the Raider shoulder cord and arc pin.
Competitions occur early in the school year from August through mid-October. There are also two competitions in April at Canon City and South High School.
Competition schedules for school year 25-26:
September 6th at Pueblo County HS
