Andrea Trudeau, Ph.D., NBCT, and AASL's 2020 Frances Henne Award winner, is 27-year veteran educator and a self-proclaimed no-"shh" librarian who has cultivated an active learning commons in her public middle school, emphasizing community, creativity, critical thinking, and fun. As a Fulbright-Hays scholar in 2022, she spent nearly six weeks in rural Tanzania and Kenya teaching secondary students in public and private schools--an experience that sparked her passion for supporting libraries worldwide. Andrea's research interests include exploring how cinematic virtual reality can promote affective and cognitive empathy in K-12 students. Furthermore, Andrea firmly believes the library is the heart of the school and values taking a human-centered approach to librarianship.

Tom Bober is a school librarian at RM Captain Elementary, 2018 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, a 2015-2016 Teacher in Residence at the Library of Congress, and author of the books Literature and Primary Sources, Building News Literacy as well as his earlier title, Elementary Educator's Guide to Primary Sources. He co-chairs the Education Advisory Committee for the American Archive of Public Broadcasting and sits on the Teacher Advisory Board for the National Portrait Gallery. Amanda is a 24 year educator, school librarian, author, and international speaker. She is the 2021 Librarian of the Year as presented by School Library Journal, a 2021 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, and the 2020 Louisiana School Librarian of the Year. Amanda has won numerous intellectual freedom awards, is the Director of the Livingston Parish Library Alliance, is a founding member of Louisiana Citizens Against Censorship, and is the author of That Librarian: The Fight Against Book Banning in America. Amanda is currently serving as Past President of the Louisiana Association of School Librarians. She is the Louisiana Chapter Councilor for the American Library Association, on the Executive Board of the Louisiana Library Association, and also serves as a Committee Associative for ALA’s Intellectual Freedom Committee.
